The CSCD Youth Academy have had the privilege of engaging in open and thoughtful conversation with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Mr. Jeppe Kofod, on the rising geopolitical tensions and the growing uncertainty currently shaping many regions. During our ongoing discussions, one idea remains crystal clear:
“Diplomacy exists for moments like these, when we should listen carefully, to seek understanding, and to keep dialogue alive when it feels most fragile.”
For us, the conversation is not only about global affairs, but about people, and how best to nurture dialogue and build bridges.
The insights shared by Mr. Jeppe Kofod resonates deeply with the curiosity and sense of responsibility that we see in the young minds we work with every day. While we reflect on our future direction, it is a reminder that diplomacy is not abstract, it is a human practice, built on trust, patience, and perspective.
As we prepare the CSCD Youth Academy activities for 2026, exchanges like this help guide our path forward. We are grateful for the time, openness, and experience shared and we look forward to continuing the dialogue ahead and present you with an improved and even stronger CSCD Youth Academy focused on giving bright minded students, future leaders and policymakers even stronger hands-on skills in the exceptional and fine art of diplomacy.
