Joint Conference on Climate Change in the Arctic Region – Energy and Shipping in the Danish Parliament

On November 26th, 2019, CSCD co-hosted a joint conference on Energy Overview in the Arctic Region in Proviantgaarden at the Danish Parliament.

It was an honour to host the conference in collaboration with the South Korean Embassy in Copenhagen, and we are deeply grateful for how well the conference was received. The interest to participate was overwhelming, we had a waiting list for registrations and a room filled to the brim with lively conversations in the break and networking sessions.

The conference was introduced with welcoming and congratulatory remarks from H.E. Mr. Sangjin Park Ambassador and H.E Mr. Thomas Winkler, Arctic Ambassador to Denmark. Representatives from the Government of Greenland, the Confederation of Danish Industry, Danish Shipping and finally representatives from the Korean Maritime and Shipping Industry, all provided a unique chance to dive into details on Arctic Activities, Shipping and Energy from different perspectives. A lively Q&A session full of poignant questions wrapped up the day and made excellent points for further discussions.
